Project Pink is an initiative that I'm launching to coincide with the release of my debut album Free. A portion of proceeds from the sale of every album sold will be donated to breast cancer research, on behalf of all my fans, in an effort to save our women and rid our planet of this terrible disease. I'd like to see breast cancer obliterated in our lifefime. I'm positive it can and will happen!
I'm passionate about a lot of causes and want to use my music as a vehicle for change. Breast cancer has touched me in a real way so that's where my focus is now. A very good friend of mine has gone though a long and painful fight against this enemy. She's a fighter and is doing well, she's one of the lucky ones, she survived. I think it's safe to say that each of us knows at least one family member or friend, or even a friend of a friend who has contracted breast cancer.
I'm tired of seeing our moms, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, cousins, wives, lovers and friends leaving us before their time. I'm hoping we can work together and not only come one step further to finding a cure, but actually obliterate this cancer by finding
the cure.
You can help and contribute to Project Pink either by buying the album Free or by clicking the button at the bottom of this page and make a donation. Or you can do both! I'm starting off the fund by donating $200 and will be listing the total donation amount for Project Pink on this page, so check back here to see how we're doing!
And if you feel like sharing your story or thoughts about breast cancer, please visit my
group page on Facebook. I'd love to hear what you have to say and I'm sure other music fans would as well.
I'm encouraging all other artists to join me in Project Pink and help with this cause to save our women. If you're an artist and are interested, give me a shout.
