Everything You Need to Know about Human Design Projectors

You’re at a party and you notice someone across the room.

They seem to be the life of the party – everyone is drawn to them and they always seem to know just what to say.

You find yourself gravitating towards them, and before you know it, you’re deep in conversation. They’re funny, charming, and intelligent, and you can’t believe you’re getting to talk to them.

Later, you find out that they’re a human design projector.

Suddenly, it all makes sense – they were able to read the room and know just what everyone wanted to hear.

Projectors make up about 20% of the population and are people who are here to lead, inspire, and motivate others.

They’re a very important part of human design.

Here, we’ll explore what it means to be a projector and some of the challenges they face in life.

Ra Uru Hu quote

What is a projector in the human design system?

Human design creator Ra Uru Hu believed that projectors were created in 1781 and were considered relatively new energies.

They’re sometimes called “seers” of society because they have an amazingly deep vision.

Since they have a strong connection to the imagination, their role is to guide others to realize an idea with a particular energy.

It was predicted that projection energy would increase by around 20% in 2018.

Some of the most famous projectors include the likes of President Obama, Brad Pitt, and Marilyn Monroe.

How do you know if you’re a projector?

A projector has:

  • an open sacral center
  • no motor center (sacral/throat/will/root) connected to their throat center (they can have a defined motor center but it won’t be connected to the throat)

What does it mean to have an open sacral?

An open sacral center will be white or open(undefined) on your chart.

As it’s open, this means that you don’t have any consistent access of sacral energy available to you.

It doesn’t mean you don’t have energy but your energy will be “borrowed” from others in your environment.

Borrowed energy

With this “borrowed” energy, you often won’t know when enough is enough.

Ra said that projectors are like parasites.

He didn’t mean it in a derogatory way.

His point was that projectors need to be very careful not to take too much from others or they’ll end up becoming depleted.

This is why projectors need to “wait for the invitation” before taking action.

If you take action without an invitation, you’ll likely burn yourself out very quickly as you won’t have the energy to sustain it.

One last point about the open sacral.

Most adult projectors aren’t here to work a traditional job that consists of the Monday to Friday grind with overtime work thrown in.

But many projectors (who don’t know they’re projectors) aren’t aware of this.

It’s not uncommon for most projectors to hit a wall later on in their lives feeling frustrated, bitter, totally exhausted and burned out.

What is the aura of a projector?

In human design, a projector’s aura is focused, absorbing and it’s very strong.

Your aura is like a beacon that attracts people and invitations to you.

It’s important for projectors to be aware of their aura and how it’s affecting those around them as well as working on keeping their energy field clear.

Projectors are very complex beings here to know other people. Their aura helps them to know and understand themselves.

The projector aura tends to be very intuitive, often very good at reading people, and can often see things that others can’t.

They have a deep understanding of human nature and can be very helpful to others.

They’re often good at giving advice and can be very supportive to those around them.

Additionally, projectors are:

  • usually very successful in whatever they put their mind to
  • natural leaders and can be very persuasive
  • very charming and can easily get people to do what they want
  • energy types that have a strong sense of self
  • independent
  • magnetic
  • very creative and enjoy expressing themselves through art or music.

What are the types of authority for a projector?

In human design, authority is your way of knowing what’s right or not right for you.

There are three types of authority for a projector:

Example of a Self-Projected Projector

Self-projected

This type of authority needs to speak and talk through their decisions with others but doesn’t need advice from others before making a decision.

Self projected projectors know what they want and need to put their ideas out there for others to see.

Emotional authority

An emotional projector authority allows this type of projector to feel their emotions and connect with others.

They use their feelings to guide their decisions and they need to wait out their emotional wave before they can take action.

Splenic authority

A splenic projector has a defined spleen center that operates with a “gut feeling” and uses it to guide them.

They need to trust their first reaction and not overthink things in the moment.

What is the strategy of a projector?

In human design, the projector strategy is to wait for the invitation.

Waiting is important because if you go out and try to force your energy on others, you’ll only end up feeling drained.

Projectors need to be invited in order to fully step into their power.

This can be difficult for them because they’re often misunderstood as being pushy, bossy know it all types.

Other people see them as shy or introverted when really they’re just waiting for the invitation to come in.

If you’re a projector, it’s important to remember that your power lies in your ability to wait and be patient.

The world needs your energy, but it has to be given permission to enter.

Trust the process and know that when the time is right, people will come to you. Your job is simply to hold the space.

What does waiting for the invitation mean?

A projector is someone who waits for an invitation before they take action.

These are big types of invitations like a job, a relationship, or an opportunity.

The invitation can come in many forms but it will generally be an offer of some kind that includes verbal confirmation, a written agreement, or even just a clear expression of interest or support.

The big thing to keep in mind here is that as a projector, you’re not here to manage or direct everyone. Only those people who are a part of your soul family.

When you keep this in mind, you’ll be able to determine which invitations to accept based on this and also the ones that make you feel good and are in line with your values.

Remember, you can’t make someone invite you – you can only wait for the invitation and then say yes or no to it.

What is the emotional theme of a projector?

When a projector doesn’t wait for the invitation from someone, they become bitter and this is their not-self theme.

When we experience bitterness, it’s usually because we feel that someone has wronged us in some way. This can be a minor slight or a major betrayal.

Whatever the case may be, the not self theme of bitterness is a destructive emotion that can poison our relationships and damage our well-being.

When a projector is experiencing bitterness especially due to the lack of invitations, it can be a signal that they are either feeling depleted or lacking in their self-worth.

If you find yourself in this state, it’s important to take some time for self-care and reflection. Ask yourself what you need in order to feel better.

Do you need more rest, more human interaction, or more creative outlets?

Nurture yourself in whatever way possible, and remember that you’re worthy of love and connection.

What is the role projectors play in the world?

The projector has a very particular purpose which is to help to illuminate the world around them.

They often have a strong sense of vision and can see potential in people and situations that others may miss.

Projectors tend to be natural leaders, as they’re often able to inspire others with their vision.

They’re also very good at manifesting their goals and can see the potential in what they are trying to create.

If you’re a projector, you may find that you’re drawn to careers that involve helping others or making a difference in the world.

You may also be attracted to creative work, as you have a natural ability to see the potential in people and situations.

No matter what you do, remember that as a projector, you have the ability to light up the world around you.

Use your vision to inspire others and help make the world a better place.

What are relationship essentials for projectors?

In human design, we often talk about the different energy types and how they interact with each other.

There are five main energy types:

  • Generators
  • Manifestors
  • Manifesting Generators
  • Reflectors
  • Projectors

Each type has its own unique way of interacting with the world and others.

Projectors are a little tricky when it comes to relationships.

They’re often seen as the ones who need the most validation and attention. This can be a bit draining for their partners.

It’s important for projectors to find someone who’s willing to give them the space they need to shine.

Find someone who’s:

  • willing to give you the space you need
  • patient and understanding
  • supportive of your dreams and goals
  • comfortable with your need for attention

What are some challenges for a projector?

Below are some challenges faced by many projectors:

Staying true to themselves

In human design, projectors are complex beings and they’re often pulled in different directions by others. They can find it hard to stay focused on what they really want.

It’s important for them to find a balance between giving and receiving in order to maintain their energy levels.

Projectors need to learn to trust their intuition and listen to their inner voice.

Energy management

As they don’t have a sustainable source of energy to draw from, projectors can easily become drained by people and situations around them.

It’s important for them to find time to recharge their batteries. They can do this through meditation, nature walks, or any activity that helps them relax and rejuvenate.

Projectors also need to be mindful of not taking on too much responsibility.

They can often feel like they need to do everything themselves and can end up burning out.

It’s important for them to delegate tasks and learn to let go.

Waiting for the invitation

We can’t speed up time for the things we truly want to happen in our lives.

The key is to trust that they’ll come when they’re meant to.

If you’re a projector, here are some tips on how to speed up invitations:

Be clear about what you want

If you’re waiting for an invitation to come in, make sure that you’re clear about what that looks like.

What is your ideal situation?

What does the perfect opportunity look like for you?

When you’re clear about your intentions, it’ll be easier for the universe to send you invitations that align with your desires.

Take action

Don’t just sit around and wait for things to happen – go out and make them happen!

Put yourself in situations where you’re likely to get the invitations that you want.

One of the most attractive things about confident people is that they don’t need validation from others to feel good about themselves.

Start practicing being your own best cheerleader and watch as the invitations start rolling in.

Be confident

Confidence is key when it comes to attracting opportunities.

Believe in yourself and your ability to achieve great things.

When you walk into a room with confidence, people will take notice and you’re more likely to get the invitations that you desire.

What is the spiritual purpose of a Projector?

The spiritual purpose of a projector is to be a guide and an educator.

They’re here to help others find their path and learn about themselves.

Projectors have a natural gift for understanding human behavior and can use this knowledge to help others.

They’re also here to teach others about the importance of listening to their intuition and following their heart.

How do you succeed as a projector?

To be able to succeed as a projector, you must be able to have a mastery of a system.

You have to be aware of what’s happening around you and inside to know if your signals and timing aren’t correct for you.

What are some other projector tips?

Follow your intuition

As a human design projector, you have strong intuition.

Follow your authority and don’t let others sway you from what you know is right for you.

Be assertive

it’s important for projectors to be clear about what they want.

Others may try to take advantage of your generous nature, so learn to say no when you need to.

Find a balance

Your energy can become drained by giving too much of yourself.

Make sure to find a balance between giving and receiving.

Listen to your inner voice

You have a strong inner guidance system. Pay attention to what your heart is telling you.

Take your time

Take your time making decisions.

Don’t be rushed into anything and trust that you’ll make the right choice in due time.

Be patient

Projectors can be easily frustrated when things don’t go their way.

Remember to be patient and have faith that everything will work out in the end.

Conclusion

I hope you found this post helpful in understanding yourself and other projectors.

As you can see, projectors are unique with their own set of gifts and talents.

If you want to make the most of your projector qualities, remember to follow your intuition, be assertive, find a balance between giving and receiving, listen to your inner voice, take your time, and be patient.
